The Penjaringan Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit, North Jakarta has completed repairs to the collapsed water channel along three meters on Jalan Bakti, RT 01/07, Penjaringan Urban Village.

Repairs carried out quickly and neatly

Penjaringan Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Pendi expressed repairs to the collapsed water channel due to a landslide on the sheet pile have been ongoing since Thursday, January 4 2023.

"Alhamdulillah, we can finish it quickly from the target in two weeks," he expressed, Monday (1/15).

He explained the channel itself has a width and height of two meters. We'll do repairs as soon as possible to prevent unwanted things because it is currently the rainy season," he explained.

"We send nine personnel to repair it," he explained.

Hopefully, the channel would become stronger and the water flow smoother.

"We urge residents to keep it always clean together and water can flow smoothly," he said.

One of traders on Jalan Bakti, Salman (52) admitted that before collapsing, the channel position was tilted. Allegedly, it was due to the strong flow of water in the channel during heavy rain, triggering the sheet pile and channel to collapse.

"Repairs carried out quickly and neatly.

Hopefully, the water flow can function properly, preventing puddles," he hoped.
